Hello all,

I am making nfsc and topping with fondant and trying to figure out how to decorate once i covered with fondant. I don't have the stuff for royal icing but i want to pipe words. Is there another kind of icing that will dry hard onto to fondant?
Thanks

I just decorate with more fondant!

For words or monograms I sometimes cut letters out using the tappits cutters. Nice, uniform, and clean looking. If you have stamps small enough you could also try imprinting the words onto the fondant while its still soft.

I sometimes I will also use petal/luster dust, dragees, a little bit of disco dust and other embellishments.

You could "paint" on them with gel color/vodka mix.

You could always water down the fondant until it is a pipable consistancy, it will stay soft for a little while but will eventually dry.... Just make sure its not too thick otherwise your hand will start to cramp icon_wink.gif
