I have a friend who wants edible images added to her cake. The cake is 3" high, and to be honest, is my first edible image cake and I don't know how to add the images. PLEASE HELP. I want to make her dreamed cake.

Do you have your own system, or are you looking to have images made? I am not sure that I understand your question!
