I am making a small stacked cake. Bottom tier is 10 inch round and the top tier is 7 in. round. Can I use a 6 in. SPS plate under the 7 in. round on a 7 in. cardboard?

I appreciate everyone's wisdom and advice.

Thank you,
Sandy

Absolutely. I've even used 6" round plate under an 8" round or square cake in a pinch and it was fine. I actually like it better when the plate is 1" smaller than the tier, it makes for a cleaner border.
