Hi everyone, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I need to get an idea for a cake this coming weekend, it's going to be a ground breaking ceremony for a homeless shelter and the only thing I can think of is a shovel and dirt, I'm blocked and any help is greatly appreciated. TIA and God bless

I think the dirt and shovel idea is cute!! You could do fine brown sugar for the dirt and a gumpaste shovel stuck in the dirt. And then maybe put the name of the homless shelter on a gumpaste plaque in the front. Super cute idea.

You could do a sheet cake with a blue print of the building. Just sketch it out and make an edible image out of it. Even better if you could get the real plans for the building. You could still do the dirt and shovel in front.

Yes, that was exactly my thought because I don't have a picture of the building so I'll do a rough drawing of it and some cupcakes with dirt and shovels around it, thanks to both for your input.
