I made a Yoda cake this weekend following the instructions posted on SoCake's blog. The instructions were very helpful until I got to the ears. I ruined the head once because I had to keep trying to work with the ears and the fondant ripped. I eventually took the head off and started all over again. This time, the face didn't come out as good (exhaustion) and the ears were even worse than before. I eventually got them to stay on the cake - for about an hour. I left the room and when I returned one of the ears had fallen off and taken the fondant and frosting from the side of the head with it. Anyway, the instructions called for fondant mixed with some tylose which I did. Has anyone else made this cake and had luck with the ears using fondant?
