Monster Truck Cake Support??

I'm new to posting so please bear with me...I need help on making a monster truck cake . I see many pics but need to what you all use for support under the trucks...Wheels are mostly of rice crispie treats I see.
Any and all help is appreciated....thanks to everyone.

The two that I've done I put a log of cake under mine and put cardboard under the car and added dowels to it. They aren't as bad as you think . I was scared and honestly the first one was better than the second. My problem is those RKT I covered mine in BC and that was hard. Use fondant.

I ordered those big fat straws to use in place of dowels...you ever use them??
Will definately use the log of cake for under. Thank you!!

On mine, I turned a wilton separator plate upside down, and stuck the pillars on. I set a board on top, for the truck part. Of course, mine didnt travel anywhere, but it worked well for my purposes and really looked like it was standing on the wheels instead of support underneath. I covered the board with "dirt" and baked two 5" rounds (cut them in half to make 4 total)for the wheels. To help the wheels stay up, I 'glued' them with chocolate.
