How do you guys do zebra stripes? Is there a template or do you just cute them by hand? Also, I need to do a gumpaste/fondant bow for the my final class because I don't like the one I did. I'd like to do it in a bright hot pink or a bright neon green. My instructor said to use colored fondant to tint the GP, but I don't think what I have will give me those bright vibrant colors. Can I just tint it with my Americolor gel?

Thanks!

I always do my zebra stripes free hand then lay them on my fondant and roll over them so they blend in a bit. As far as the bow I always use fondant so I wouldn't know about coloring GP.

Good luck!

I always color my gumpaste with gel coloring and it works just fine. Just remember that some colors will fade quicker than others so if you want vibrant colors I would make it darker than you wanted, but that's just me icon_wink.gif
