How Do I Make Bright Red Icing?

cake decorators,
I have had a hard time trying to make red icing, so if you have any tips to help me that would be great,

Americolor food coloring will give you bright red that I could never achieve with Wilton etc. HTH!

red red and christmas red mixed together.. if it's not red enough, go to the grocery store and get the tube of red icing and add that.

americolor has the brightest colors I"ve seen.. I thing super red is the way to go with them..

i find whichever coloring you use, it's best if it sits overnight or at least for a few hours...the colour will get richer as it sits.

Use Americolor Super Red and then I add a touch of yellow once it is red enough and it gives that extra Pop! I do this with royal blue also...
