Hi Cakers!

I have made a fondant bow. It is the kind that has all the "loops" stacked on top of each other that you see on a lot of cakes. I think it weighs about 1 pound....maybe?? I cannot find my kitchen scale!

It is going to go on top of a BC iced sheet cake. Do I need any type of support under the bow? Like a Bubble tea straw?? I just wonder if the weight of the bow will sink into the bc.

Hoping someone reading this has made one of these bows and used it on a bc iced cake....

Happy Caking...

I have never used support for one of those... If youre concerned though, just use the straw.. what would it hurt? Plus it will be covered up by the bow icon_smile.gif But I no not think that it is heavy enough to use support.. jmo...April

I have never put support under a fondant bow either and it has always been fine. Although my theory has always been, when in doubt, be safe, it wont hurt.
