How Many Servings In A Topsy Turvy?

How do I calculate the number of servings in a topsy turvy cake since some will be carved off? I need to know the number of servings in a 10 and 8 inch round TT. TIA

I'm making my first one this week (it's for family though). I'm counting it as though it were the size I'm carving it down to - such as count a 9" and 7" servings instead of 10 and 8.
