There is probably a really simple explanation for this but im petty new to the cake making world... I baked my mix in my fan assisted oven on the correct temperature and my oven is definitely level, but my cakes some how managed to rise up to one side???? why ?????

Sounds like part of your heating element is not heating correctly and so you are not getting an even cooking temp. Do check your oven with a level to make sure but I'm thinking your cakes are baking unevenly.

Did you turn the cake 1/2 way through baking? The fan could have been blowing the batter enough to have caused it to be not level if it wasn't rotated during baking.

Sometimes when I don't move my batter around in the pan it will bake like that. I can see if the batter has more on one side of the pan.

the oven is level, but are the racks level? if it continues, just rotate them during cooking.
