Hi I am making a cake for an 18th birthday, it is a mini cooper car and he wants it the same colour as his car which is a very very dark grey almost black with lots of chrome. I want to make a road strip for the board, but don't know what to do as the car is so dark, any suggestions anyone ????

Yoy could give it the cobbled street look instead of a tar road...

You could make the road out of light gray fondant. It would be light enough to allow the car to be seen on it and add some light color to accent all the dark ones on the car. Post a photo when you're done so we can see it.

Here's a link to the impression mat you can use for the cobbled stone effect icon_smile.gif

Thanks for your replies and ideas. Have done a light grey road, I would have loved to have done the cobblestones, but have not time to get the impression mat.
Many thanks once again
