Hey guys! I am delivering a wedding cake this evening which I thought would be no big deal. Its just two tiers. But, the bottom tier (8 inch) is a double barrel with the bottom half being a styrofoam dummy. That tier feels so top heavy when I pick it up I can't imagine what it will be like when I stack the 6 inch on top. There are (obviously) dowels in the 8 inch cake to support the 6 and then I will run a central dowel down through the whole thing. Will it transport okay?

When I have issues like this I transport mine partially assembled and finish assembling at the venue.
