I have my first beach themed cake due next Saturday for a going away party and I like the look of the pirouttes (cookie sticks) as a border for the bottom tier. My question is how do you get them to stick to the cake? I've done these before, but I had a ribbon around it to hold them. The sticks
on this photo the sticks are on the second cake, but I'll have mine on the bottom tier. Thanks in advance for any help icon_biggrin.gif

I would pipe a thin line of buttercream the length of each cookie as a "glue," I think. I've done that with Kit Kats and it's worked out. icon_smile.gif

I use melted chocolate as glue if i'm putting things on fondant. If it's all buttercream then I use a thin line of buttercream as suggested before. HTH!

Thankyou for the advice! It will be buttercream so I will try the thin line as 'glue' icon_biggrin.gif
