I am baking a carrot cake and just put it in the preheated oven to bake and after 4o minutes I checked it and oh my God the oven is turned off!! I was cleaning the stove and put back the stove nobs after washing them and somehow while doing that I turned off the oven!!! so now I turned the oven back on to bake the cake. I think the cake was in there with oven on only for 10 minutes and was just sitting there for the rest of the time in there with oven off....so now is it okay to bake it again? could it have been spoiled sitting in there with no heat? this cake is for a friend and I don't want to give her a spoiled cake when it comes to food I am kind of paranoid Please help

Your cake should be more than fine, if you had left it over night i might of had a worry, But only ten minutes there wont be an issue, Happy Caking
