So I'm making a diaper bag cake. I need to to feed close enough to 50 people. I say close because I am willing to make a couple of cupcakes to get the 50 servings.

I was thinking of making a 11X15 sheet cake. Cutting & stacking method, like I was making a hand bag. Would this be good? Or is ther another way that would be easier? I plan on doing chocolate cake with chocolate fudge. Since the cake will be torted and filled I know I can get away with smaller cake slices...so if I went that route then I could even do a 9X13????

What are your thoughts?

Thanks,

I think you'll have to make many more than just a couple of cupcakes to go along with that size (only serves around 30-35). If you baked a 12 x 18 half sheet, it would serve 54 (less after carving away into the shape). Then you could get away with making just a couple of cupcakes.
