hey all in CC land! i was wondering if anybody has had luck with lacing ribbon through fondant, or any ideas on how to make it look like lacing? i want to do a bow, but with the ribbon laced through the fondant. (does this make sense?) i dont want it to look like a shoelace, i want it just to look like the ribbon was woven through the cake. any help is appreciated! thanks!!!!!

Just make holes where you want the "lacing" and then cut short lengths of the fondant "ribbon" and tuck the ends into the holes. It will look like its laced but its really just from the front.

Yep, every book I've read about says to do it like that. Cut 2 slits, insert short length of ribbon, repeat.
