I fell in love with this cake from a fellow CC member and I was wondering how the dog was made. She mentioned in her post that she used three cupcakes. I'm guessing the grass tip for the fur.

Doe anyone know how to make this cute little dog?

Also do I need to stake the bottom cake and place a board to prevent the dog from sinking into the cake or is it light enough not to damage the cake.

TIA

I cant zoom in on the pic but i agree about the grass tip, the dog will need to be on a cake board all on its own cut to the size of the cake (dog)... Place several dowel rods in the lower cake where the dog will sit, just to be sure that it dont sink into the lower cake.

It looks like you'd have to freehand the dog. I suggest starting with the lower layers of the fur working your way up. That way the fur falls naturally. Post a pic so we can see!
