How do I get the lettering the way its done on the other toy story cakes? Are they using stencils for that??

I used the block lettering tappits from FMM.Most cake decorating stores sell them.

awesome.. just ordered some..

on the bottom layer of the toy story cake.. what do you use to make it look like sand or dirt on it?

I use a light brown sugar here called Raw plantation sugar.It is a light brown like sand.Others have used crushed graham crakers or Nilla wafers which are a vanilla cookie found in the cookie aisle.

You can use crushed gram crackers or brown sugar
