I'm getting ready to do a baby bump cake on a sheet cake but I need to know if you put the figure on a seperate board and do the fondant then put on sheet cake. I would love some instructions!

Thanks, Lisa

if the bumps going on a seperate cake, it needs its own board, and to be properly supported with dowels.
whether to fondant the bump firt or not kind of depends on exactly what style of cake you are doing.

take a look at my photos. I used some tea straws for support and then just layed the belly on top , then added my fondant in two pieces one for the bodice and one for the dress. I used the wilton egg shaped pan for the belly and the wilton mini wonder mold pan for the breasts, I just trimmed them a bit to make them more rounded.
