Hi -

How do you pipe dots evenly around the side of a cake?

Hi Mexx

1. cut a length of baking paper or wax paper to fit around the side of your cake
2. fold or cut to the height you want to pipe your dots.
3. if you are doing at full row of dots, attach your paper to your cake and mark dot placement with a pin or modeling tool.
4. remove paper and begin piping on top of the pinpoints.

if you are doing sets of dots fold the paper evenly into the number of sets you want, unwrap and attach to your cake. mark where you want the dots and pipe as above.

Hope this is clear.

Meh, I just hold a ruler vertically at the side of the cake with one hand and the piping bag in the other hand. The cake is sitting on a Wilton dividing circle mat.
