Is IMBC safe to sit out for extended periods of time? Looking to use it to make cupcakes/ cakes that wont have refrigeration for several hours.

If this is a no-go, what are other frosting types (other than the usual Buttercream) that would be good to use?

Im just looking for a change!

IMBC is best served at room temp anyway, or the icing is hard like butter when you bite into it. You'll need to keep it out for an hour or so for cupcakes and a few hours for cakes, to allow the icing to temper.

We keep our IMBC cupcakes and cakes out at room temp for up to 12-14 hours sometimes at weddings, never had a problem.

Don't try to keep them outside or in hot temps though, the icing is too melty for that. thumbsdown.gif
