I was thinking about trying to flood a design on an oval sheet cake covered in fondant. It's a design I have piped (star tip) before, but it takes hours and kills my hand. Plus, I love the clean look of RI.
Has anyone tried this? Any thoughts on doing this?
TIA!

Probably better to do the flooded image on wax paper, cellophane, or acetate, let it dry, and then apply it to the cake with royal.

Cakes tend to settle & shift. If you flood a large image directly on the cake, it could easily crack, plus, it might not dry quickly enough due to the moisture in the fondant and the cake.

Kept out of heat, direct light, and dampness, they can last forever.
