I know this is probably a dumb question but if I wanted to make a book and use two separate cake pans to make one vanilla and one chocolate and then put them side by side and then frost everything together would there be a possibilty it my split in half or has anyone ever tried this and was successful?

I have the book pan and just pour choc and vanilla in each side. (I had DH pour vanilla batter on one side while at the same time I poured the choc. It worked pretty well and the middle was a beautiful marble cake).

I am afraid you might be disappointed with the cake splitting after all your hard work if you try to ice them together.

Good luck!
