I was wondering if anyone has ever combined whipped ganache with a little buttercream frosting to make it more stable in semi-humid weather?

Doesn't Toba Garrete have a recipe for chocolate icing that starts with ganache then adds in powder sugar and butter?

Yep, Toba's chocolate buttercream starts with a standard American buttercream and 2 cups of chilled, unwhipped ganache are added at the end. It's delicious!!
