Hey everyone i have been using duncan hines golden butter cake mix for years but i want to start making my own so i can control the ingredients and feel like what i am making is 100 percent homemade i have tried dozens of yellow and butter cake recipes and non compares. if you have something you think i might like please let me know. thanks and happy baking

you can try the following and see what suits you the best - each are good in their own right:
- David's Yellow Cake recipe (here on CC) (doesnt rise much but a good cake)
- Toba Garrett's "Moist Yellow Cake" on pg 143 of the book titled 'The Well Decorated Cake
- and Warren Brown's "Yellow Butter Cake" on pg 99- 101 of his 'Cake Love' book. This recipe also has an accompanying youtube video that is really good to see even if you dont want to try this recipe.




since you have tried many as well and if you have tried any of these I would be curious to know what your thoughts are on these. They are all quite popular.
