Trying to figure out how to get the white pearlized look on fondant. Is the only option airbrushing or is there an alternative? Thanks for your help

I don't have an airbrush, so I drybrush white lusterdust onto my white fondant. To set, just lightly steam it. I don't like to mix with liquid and paint it on - It comes out really streaky for me. If anyone has a better way, I'm all ears too!!
