This may seem like an odd question, but does anyone have a good method for removing dried fondant decorations from dried fondant? My cake show entry wilted horribly in the heat of the arena and I would like to try to "save" it but removing some of the decorations and redoing them. Some were attached with piping gel and others with RI. I know I probably won't be able to clean it up completely, but any advice would be helpful. I spent days working it and I would prefer to spend a few hours repairing it rather than trashing it. Thanks!

All you can do is try. Use a filet knife and gently trim and pry the offending decos off and then make new, larger ones to cover the offending areas. Good luck!
