Gumpaste Camellias?

My cousin is getting married in August and this is the cake she wants (also viewable in more detail here: http://www.brides.com/planning/cakes/gallery/editorspick/detail/195399?f=1541%3a1546&offset=7).

I'm fine with most of it but I'm not sure I can attack these flowers without specific instructions, and I haven't been able to find them anywhere! Any advice? If anybody has a tutorial on gumpaste camellias, or if anybody can just look at it and tell me how to do it or if it's similar to another flower that might be easy to find instructions and modify...any help is appreciated!

I think Scott Woolley has one on his website. He has a download of some free tutorials.

I think you could probably get away with using rose petal cutters,
I would start with the larger petals first and build it up, finishing with the smallest petals, that way you wouldnt have to wire them either.
