Frozen Buttercream?

Can you freeze buttercream frosting for later use? I froze some a couple of weeks ago and want to make sure it is okay to use before putting it on the cake.

Sure can! I made a batch 3 weeks ago and froze. Took out last night to defrost and will ice cake today!

Do it all the time.
