I found a listing online for a large lot of cake decorating items. I called the guy to see what he had and I was in shock! It was a bakery in a highend grocery store that closed. As he was rattling off all the stuff he thought was there I was thinking " Okay, this guy is gonna say a couple thousand dollars" well to my surprise he said.... are you ready.....

I got:

Hundreds of edible images
Probably 40 8lb buckets of different sprinkles
a kopy cake compresser and airgun
about 50 -60 boxes of Lucks sugar decorations
tons of plastic picks
I bet 200 plastic character cake topper kits
two huge boxes of cake magazines and books
tips and couplers galore
about 50 metal sheet pans
about 75 large plastic bakery sheet pans
about 40 small plastic sheet pans
a rolling proof cart
about 300 full sheet cake boards and boxes
Buckets and buckets of spatulas, scrapers, knifes and more
there is so many more boxes of stuff that I havent even went through yet to see what there is !

Are you ready to hear the price.....

$200.00!!!!!!!

Its like 4 Christmas's!!

The goal is to have a store front secured within the next 6 months, so all my finds today will definitely go to good use.

I will sell anything I dont need. I dont use alot of the edible image sheets or cake kits, but It will be a great "ready made cake" money maker when the shop opens.

I went to a bakery auction this past fall and got alot of really good stuff too. I had a van load then too and only spent 400.00.

I love a good find!

Now I'm waiting for my husband to get home so we can unload it all and dig away!

Nope not John. It was a store South of Dayton Ohio. I live between Dayton and Columbus.

I found about 40 spatulas. 4 huge ones, probably over a foot long. Ive never even seen spatulas so big..lol! Alot of Dexter Russell brand commercial ones and scrapers out the wazoo!

Even my kids are excited to open the boxes and see what is in them. I think I am raising future cake mogals!!!

Thank you so much!

I was so tired from loading and digging through all this stuff I didnt even get to my cakes yesterday. I got fillings made and icing colored, but I have so much to do I really got to work hard and fast today.

I was thinking lastnight, I wonder where all their turntables and airbrush colors were. It would have been awesome to get a few turntables. But now I am just being greedy!

I actually found this guy through an estate sale ad a few weeks ago and I inquired about cases of cake mixes. He said he was out but he would keep me in mind if anything else came up. Lucky me! Lottery tickets are definitely in my future!

Thank you all for the warm wishes and high fives! Im wishing for great caking bargains for all of you!!
