Hi everyone! How can I turn my white fondant into gray? With black color? Cause I laready tried that and it turned into a dark aqua. Could it be that my black is damage? Please help. I need to do that tonight and I'm desperate icon_cry.gif TIA

I just use a very small amount of black on a toothpick to make my grey (and oddly enough I seem to be making a lot of it all the time! LOL!). I have seen black turn to dark purple but never aqua! So yeah, something might be wrong with your black.

personally for gray, I use black and brown. I found that straight black would kinda glob and separate my icing. Then of course it would turn green sometimes, so now I add a tiny hint of brown, then add a smidge of black and it hits gray almost perfect. you will have to tinker to get that right color, but it worked for me and hopefully will work for you too.

I'll get a small amount of fondant and try again. Thanks a lot girls!
