How do you cover a pillar candle cake with white chocolate? I have some sheet plastic...do I just smooth a layer of melted chocolate on that and wrap it around? Just guessing! Doing a little MacGyver problem-solving...

Thanks, Friends!

um...you can make ganache and pour it on the cake ... or you can make modeling chocolate and wrap it around the cake. i've never wrapped a cake in pure chocolate, but i've seen tutorials for it. i' not sure it'll look like a candle though.

Thank you for your input! Now I'm in a ganache frame of mind. Mmmmm!

I gave it a go using white chocolate melts spread on thick plastic sheeting. Wrapped it around stacked cake circles, let it set...and it worked! icon_smile.gif I simply drizzled more of the chocolate around the top and made some "wax" drips on the side. Beautiful!
