I am making a preschool graduation cake for my daughter's class and have been inspired by several cakes here on CC that have light blue horizontal lines around the cake, like lined paper. Anyone have any advice on how to make these straight? I am frositng in BC with fondant accents.

TIA!

I would think that you can use a ruler to make an impression on the BC. First figure out how many lines you'd like on the cake and how much spacing between each line. Take your time in measuring and marking off your cake at each line. Mark ends then middle to ensure the line stays straigt. Then make the line impression with ruler using your initial marks. Hope that makes sense! Good luck.

A laser level would be much easier.
