So I really want to do the debbie brown laundry machine cake for a graduation. However, they're pretty anti-fondant and I'm making a choc snickers cake. I would like to ice the cake in choc frosting and then go over it with white frosting.

I'm assuming I would have to freeze or chill heavily the choc frosted cake to be able to go over it with white frosting. Has anyone ever done this?

I know I should use fondant for the look but they're pretty anti-fondant. That said she'll let me do what I want when it comes down to it.

That's what I would do....However, do you really need the chocolate frosting over the cake? Why not just crumb coat in white and then go over that in white?

I would crumb coat it, put it in the fridge for a bit then slather on a whole bunch of nice white icing icon_smile.gif
