Help-My niece has requested for her wedding cake very thin vertical stripes-in royal blue! She would like a 3 tiered stacked cake. I was thinking of not having the stripes on top of the tiers. She also is requesting no topper. icon_surprised.gif If anyone has any suggestions on this I would love to hear from you. Would you make different shades of blue-different widths? I also plan on making a dummy layer for her to verify this is what she wants. Thank you.

You could do the stripes like the cake in the attached picture, only vertical.

Stripes aren't much of a problem. I cut them out of fondant and slap them on. If you need a guide, get a laser level and project a vertical line onto the cake.
