I want to make this cake, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I'm kinda a fondant person so I'll probably either cover the whole cake in yellow fondant or do fondant panels. Only thing is I've never done panels so I have two questions...
How do you do panels and make them stay on the cake?
How would you do the flowers? And what would you use to paint them (i.e. what "paint"). Thanks!!!

I wouldn't bother with the labour/weight of adding panels to each side. It looks as if the artist just painted all the cake sides yellow over the white fondant. You can see the tops of each tier are still pure white.
Personally, I'd start with the whole cake covered in yellow fondant and then paint the flowers on using lustre dusts (vodka or extract + the coloured powders), then go back when it's totally dry and do that white outlined detailing in royal icing.
(I don't think I'd use food colourings for the detailing, too wet.)
