Hi, I am new to the forum and somewhat new to cake decorating. I have only used fondant on round cakes, but I am doing a sheet cake tomorrow with MMF. Do you have any tips/advice? I'm scared about rolling a large enough amount and then transfering it to the cake and then how to make the corners straight. Any suggestions are much appreciated. TIA! I love this website and everyone is so helpful.

Im new with square cakes and fondant too, but I've learned to do the corners first. There's a really good video if you go to you tube, type in how to put fondant on a square cake. Good luck!

As bluejeannes said, your would want to work your corners lifting them like a skirt and then eventually work you're way down the sides. If you look up aine2 from scotland on you tube, you will see her do a small square cake. I always see something like a sheet cake as a daunting task. I just keep telling myself: it's just like doing a smaller cake, only with more fondant.
