I've searched on here and Google and can't find the answer. I'm making a cake this weekend and it's going to have a Boston Cream filling in it. Do you think it needs to be refrigerated? I'm covering it with MMF and haven't had luck with putting that in the fridge. Or does anyone have a recipe that would be fine out of the fridge for a few hours? Thanks for any help.

(Sorry if it's been asked but I couldn't find it anywhere)

Boston Cream filling (making it yourself?) - yes absolutely it must be refrigerated.

There is a sleeved Bavarian Creme filling that's shelf sable.
