What exactly is the difference between a "regular" chocolate buttercream anda "milk chocolate" buttercream. The bride's mother has madde a big point of asking for milk choccolate icingl I know some of you can help me - thanks! PAT

Milk chocolate is not dark chocolate. To make regular chocolate buttercream I add melted semi-sweet chocolate chips to my icing. To make milk chocolate buttercream I add melted milk chocolate chips. Very different taste. Maybe the MOB doesn't like dark chocolate.

Thanks....I was correct about the chemical difference between the two, but I hesitated to think the answer was as simple as melted milk chocolate chips! That was my first instinct, but didn't quite trust myself. Thanks for the reaffirmation. PAT
