I need to make a PS 2 cake for my nephew's birthday and I think I am going to go the route of fondant... but I don't know how to tackle the handle? Is it molded out of rice cereal? or is it cake?

I made an xbox cake last year with a controller. I just baked a cake in a loaf pan and carved the controller shape out. I actually set the controller on top of the cake and cut around it! I used fondant for the accents and skittles for the buttons. Good Luck!

the handle appears to just be fondant. The controller could be done out of rkt or cake. Use a template for either.

I just made a PS3 for a friends son and I used store bought fondant on the machine and controllers, I had a clear plastic that I traced the controller on the cut the cake that size then covered with fondant, then just added the buttons and stuff to match, it was easier then I thought it would be. Good Luck
