Darth Vader Instruction Needed!!!

I'm needing help on how to make a sculpted Darth Vader cake for my granson! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

i just made one, not my best work but i will know better for next time.

Here's what i did:

I took a domed shape bowl and baked my cake in there then torted the cake into 5 layers, filled each with chocolate mousse. Froze the cake then carved away the face and inner shape of the helmet. Crumb coated it then put it back in the freezer. Covered it with white fondant then airbrushed black, cut out the details and added them on, another coat of black, paint the details with silver luster dust made into "paint" with some vodka. I will post a picture of the final cake. As my camera is not great with dark detailed cake i will try and lighten the picture so that you can make out the detail.

I'm worried about the carving portion of the thing. LOL Any more yu have to be an art major to make a cake for a 6 year old!!! I look forward to seeing your picture. Thanks!!!
