Hi, I am interested in getting myself some velvetop by dawn foods to use on cupcakes and was wondering if I can put fondant decorations on it and sprinkles and sugars?
Thanks
Kiley

I have not heard of Velvetop, but used Pastry Pride (shelf stable whipped cream) and put fondant decorations on it which promptly melted. There's too much water in whipped icings & it melts the sugar in fondant & sprinkles.

Like that idea of protecting the fondant with icing or chocolate thumbs_up.gif

Or, you can just use modeling chocolate, instead of fondant, for your decos!
