A online store that I purchase alot from sells bags of premade colored isomalt pellets where all you have to do is melt them. Are these any good to use or should I buy the clear and melt them myself and color them?

I tried it this way, didn't work for me, and I think they tasted nasty. The recipe that someone on her gave is really easy and good.
I doulbe it so it's 1 cup Isomalt and 1/4 c White Corn Syrup. She mixes hers in the microwave. I had trouble with that because I think my microwave cooks hotter. I go ahead and cook it on the stove, I don't even use a thermometer, once the Isomalt is all melted and clear, and has boiled, I pour. It has come out right every time. I don't remember her name, but she was a God send.
