They are brand new and shed like a wooly beast in the dog days of summer! What are the best and I am now willing to pay a little more for some good ones.

I get the ones with nylon bristles (white or clear) and then the acrylic clear handles. The painted wooden ones will peel if you leave them in water accidentally, and the brown natural bristled ones do shed terribly. Just find them in the craft section, and they may cost a little more but they are still reasonable, esp with a coupon, and very nice.

I purchase regular artist's brushes. Nylon bristles in acrylic handles so they can go in the dishwasher.
