I have a question for all you smarty pants out there. I use the Wilton recipe for my buttercream that I make. I'd like to try out other flavors to see what they would taste like. If I want to make, let's say, a raspberry buttercream, can I omit the vanilla extract and substitute it for raspberry extract?

This may seem like a silly question, and it quite possibly is, but alas, I'm a newbie... (I use to use tub frosting! LE GASP!!)

Thanks in advance for any smarty pants replies! icon_biggrin.gif

Yes you can definitely substitute one for the other. You might have to add a little bit more if its not strong enough for you.
