I'm making my nephews birthday cake and I'm thinking about making some number 4 cookies as favors. The theme is racing cars and I want the number 4 cookies to have the checkerboard effect; how do I do this? TIA

Ice them white, make a template for the checkerboard and hold it on the cookie while you spray black with food coloring spray.

you can cut out MMF squares of white and black. lay them out in the pattern and gently roll over them so they'll stick together. then cut out with the same 4 cutter ... or maybe just black squares on a full white base. you know what i mean? lay black squares on white fondant, then cut out both layers with the 4... sry hope that makes sense
