Hi, has anyone tried making their own colored sugar. I know all you need to do is add a few drops of liquid food coloring. Has anyone ever tried using gel colors for this? Has it worked? Do you need to add liquid to the gel before mixing it with the sugar? Thanks!

gel colours will work better then liquid. put sugar in a ziplock, add some colour with a toothpick then knead the bag.

I prefer to use Americolor to make sugar over the Wilton. I could never get the thicker comsistency Wilton to incorporate completely. I have just put it in a little plastic container and shook though. Kneading in a baggie might help! Thanks!
