Hi All! Couldn't find a recipe for this in the search but was wondering if anyone had any advice on making the modeling chocolate "plastic" to cover a cake with? I used 10 oz of dark chocolate w/ 1/3 cup of corn syrup and it's really, really greasy.

I added a couple extra ounces of the chocolate and am now letting it rest. This is only the second time I've used it and the first time was with white. I don't remember it being so greasy. icon_surprised.gif

Help! Thanks in advance! icon_biggrin.gif

Sorry Katana, I have looked at the myriad cake books I have and don't have a recipe for chocolate plastic icing. I usually buy mine already made up, either in white chocolate or dark chocolate fondant. Here in Australia it is made by Cake Art Deco. Sorry I couldn't be of much help. Hope you find an answer to your problem soon.
