going to turn out?

DH white cake mix - which uses 1 1/3 cup water and 2 tablespoons oil - was on sale so I bought a bunch.

Normally the cake mix I uses calls for 1 1/4 cup water and 1/3 cup oil.

I got them mixed up icon_cry.gif I used 4 boxes with the wrong measurements in the 14" square that's baking in the oven right now. Any chance my cake will still turn out okay? I would really hate to have to do it over icon_sad.gif

According to the Cake Mix Doctor, that is the advantage of mixes - that they are very forgiving. I'll bet it turns out fine. (Love her cookbook BTW)

They wiill be just fine icon_smile.gif
That seems like a lot of batter for a 14" cake.....I would think 3 would have been plenty.

I have done that before not thinking that the white is different, but it turned out just fine.

Cake turned out fine thumbs_up.gif

Kakeladi - I tend to fill up my pans about 3/4 of the way so that they rise up and I can level right in the pan as soon as they come out of the oven. I use the cut off part for cake bites.
